          Jim and Julie Uhey

We have 35 years of pastoral ministry experience and currently serve as the Founder and President of The Phoenix Project USA.

During the last twenty years we have worked with inner city youth, gang members and Teen Challenge (a drug rehabilitation program) During that same time, Pastor Jim has served:
·   As a chaplain in Oklahoma City after the bombing of the 
    Alfred P. Murrah Building
·   As a chaplain in New York City following 911 at Ground Zero
·   In Spain, Sri Lanka and Thailand training pastors and  volunteers 
    to respond to the victims of terrorism and natural disasters
·   As a chaplain and coordinated chaplaincy services in Mississippi 
    and Louisiana post Hurricane Katrina
·   At Virginia Tech working with the Chi Alpha Campus ministry 
    after the shooting
·   With the staff of Convoy of Hope in Haiti after the January 2010
    earthquake
                                                                 ·   Smithville Mississippi after the April, 2011 F-5 tornadoes.
 
Jim holds certificates of completion from the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation in Pastoral Crisis Intervention, Assisting Individuals, Group Basic, Group Advanced, Strategic Response to Crisis and Terrorism: 
Psychological Impact and Interventions.
